Durga Puja is on!

Despite Coronavirus social distancing requirements, Durga Puja will go on this year as always. This mind blowing Kolkata tradition - part art festival, part religious, cultural and food extravaganza - will be held in October as scheduled. Here at Bhubanbari we are ready to welcome guests to our in-home, family celebration complete with our own mandap and idol. The kumhars - the craftsmen who make the idol - are at work on the ground floor of our home every day, shaping and forming the mother goddess and her children, the asura (demon) and their animal companions.
